Wall and ceiling applications

Cashmere White combines natural Portuguese cork texture with a soft white-stained finish and subtle taupe and ash undertones. The low-profile panels create a calm, tactile surface for feature walls and selected ceiling installations.

Cork is a natural material, so each panel can vary slightly in tone, grain, and texture. Review a sample in the room's daylight and artificial lighting before selecting the finish for a full installation.

Cashmere White is designed for dry interior walls where a pale natural texture is desired. Selected ceiling installations may also be possible when the panel, substrate, preparation, adhesive, room conditions, and installation method are suitable for the complete overhead assembly.

Cashmere White is an adhesive-applied decorative cork panel. It is not a drop-in tile for a suspended ceiling grid.

Planning the layout

Plan the installation from the room's main sightline and choose aligned or staggered joints before applying adhesive. Dry-lay several panels, rotate them as needed, and mix material from different boxes to distribute natural variation across the surface.

Grazing light emphasizes texture and joints, while diffuse light creates a quieter appearance. View a sample on the intended wall or ceiling at different times of day before approving the layout.

Installation and care

Install Cashmere White over a clean, dry, smooth, stable, and compatible substrate using an approved adhesive and the current installation instructions. Acclimate the panels, establish reference lines, and make cuts with a sharp tool suited to cork. Ceiling installations require full adhesive contact across the complete back of every panel.

Remove dust with a soft cloth, soft brush, or vacuum brush attachment. Wipe light marks gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface promptly. Do not soak the cork or use abrasive cleaners.

To review the finish before ordering a full wall or ceiling, contact OakViva to request a sample. For commercial or ceiling projects, include the substrate, room dimensions, site conditions, and intended installation date.

Frequently asked questions

Can Cashmere White be installed on a ceiling?

Selected ceiling installations may be possible when the panel, substrate, adhesive, preparation, and installation method are suitable for the complete overhead assembly.

Is Cashmere White a suspended ceiling tile?

No. Cashmere White is a decorative cork panel that is bonded to a prepared surface with a compatible adhesive. It is not a drop-in suspended ceiling tile.

What size is each panel?

Each panel measures 11.8 x 23.6 in (30 x 60 cm) and is 5/32 in (4 mm) thick.

How much does one box cover?

One box contains 16 panels and covers 31 sq ft.

Can I cut the panels?

Yes. Mark each cut carefully, use a sharp tool appropriate for cork, and test the cut on spare material first.

Will the seams disappear?

Careful layout and installation create orderly joints, but the panels remain individual pieces and seams may be visible, especially under grazing light.

Will every panel be the same color?

No. Natural cork and the stained finish create slight variations in tone, grain, and texture. Mix panels from different boxes before installation.
